Summer Knits

Knit items in summer? Is that a thing? Yep. I've been knitting and crocheting for about 20 years. For the first 15 years or so I would have told you that knitting and crochet are for making warm cozy blankets and scarves. For a long time that's all I made.
But there's plenty of handmade items that are perfect for summer - or really all year long. If you're looking for a little handmade gift for a bridal shower or birthday this summer, or something practical and luxurious that'll garner all the compliments, here's my list of best summer knits available in my shop.
Everything Tote
So named because this tote can carry everything, I've used this for a beach bag, a snack bag, and a grocery bag. Available only as a custom order, this bag stretches to hold whatever you need.
Dishcloths
Unfortunately, dirty dishes are an all season problem. Maybe you're a huge fan of the dishwasher like me, but there's usually something that needs to be hand washed - like that Starbucks tumbler I accidentally ran through the washer. When I have something to hand wash I always use one of these handmade dish cloths.
I can throw them in the washer - and dryer - and reuse them over and over again, which is so much better than sponges that are essentially a single use product if you really want them to be sanitary. When I heard about bottle bags, I thought "why would I need a bag just for a water bottle?" And you might be thinking that too. You probably carry a purse so why do you need another thing?
Bottle bags are pretty trendy right now as we become more purposeful about reducing single use plastic and aim to stay more hydrated. I found out there's a whole lot of reasons why I need a bottle bag.
